WePad an iPad Killer?
The touchscreen/e-reader/tablet market is heating up with the recent announcement of the We Pad, a Linux/Android based touchscreen tablet that some are touting as an iPad killer.

Unlike the iPad the We Pad supports Flash and multi tasking. And as mentioned above unlike the iPad the We Pad has a web camera - handy for Skype video calls.
In addition, the New York Times is reporting Google is coming out with a tablet of its own
Android applications should work pretty much automatically on the We Pad and the We Pad is hoping publishers will leverage its We Magazine - an open e-publishing platform.
The We Pad should be available this summer in Germany with a starting price point of $449 Euros or $600 USD.
Judging by the video demonstrations below the We Pad is a slick device and for those fans looking for a system that is more open than the iPad then the We Pad may be a smart choice.
Meawhile, the New York Times is reporting that Google will be releasing a tablet of its own, also on Android.
